Daily Dose
a six-month experiential herbalism immersive
with Meg Edwards
Get Started
Daily Dose
Join me for this six-month group mentorship program to gain in-depth, first hand experience of the felt effects of six different herbs.
Learn through experience by taking one herb daily for an entire month, and tracking the physiological, emotional, & cognitive changes you notice, and comparing them with the experiences of others in the group.
What is "experiential herbalsim"?
It is learning through feeling.
Its learning through first-hand, lived experience.
It is learning through observation & exploration.
It is an alternative, or better yet, an addendum to study, book learning, & memorization.
Here's how it works:
Fresh Medicine
Meg will send each participant six tinctures, one to take each month of the program. These tinctures are all made from fresh plants that Meg has harvested herself or sourced from a trusted organic herb grower. We will all take the same herb together each month to best crowdsource the experiential knowledge that might be gained.
Monthly Meeting
We’ll start each month with a quick intro to the herb we will be working with, but without going too deep into the actions
& constituents so as not to influence the experience with preconceived expectations. Meg will discuss dosing options, as well as other modalities & preparations participants may wish to utilize.
Daily Dosing
With guidance, participants will intuitively choose their dose & any other preparations they choose to incorporate each herb into their daily routine for the month.
As participants go through the month with each particular herb, they will track the effects & changes they experience with a provided questionnaire/worksheet.
Observations
After each month of daily use, we will gather together again to debrief, share our experiences & changes, and learn from each other’s gained knowledge. At this point we will also discuss more about the actions, constituents, energetics & studies on that particular herb to see how that supports our lived experiences.
We begin with our first intro meeting on August 30th!
The idea behind Experiential Herbalism comes from my own personal experiences...
with taking a single herb for extended periods of time as a sort of challenge, just to see what it felt like, or to try to better understand a certain effect or action I had read about.
I would start with a desire to understand an herb more deeply, or a curiosity about its long term effects.
Sometimes it starts out as a question like, “I wonder what dose of poke root tincture I can safely build up to?” or “I wonder how it would feel to take a high dose of this adaptogen everyday for two weeks?”
Each time I have done this, I’ve experienced unexpected benefits or changes that I hadn’t predicted would be the result of taking a particular herb.
But to have the firsthand experience of taking an herb every single day, building up to the largest safe dose you can, and feeling how it affects your physical body, your mental state, your emotional being… that is a different realm of understanding how herbs work.
It's one thing to read about or study an herb. It’s one thing to have cognitive knowledge of an herb's benefits.

FAQ
How will I know what my dose should be?
